Treat your candle with care and love by following a few simple instructions and safety precautions.
This will ensure that you get the very best from your candle, each and every time you use them.
Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting
Burn for maximum of 4 hours and ensure the melt pool reaches the edge of the candle container before extinguishing. This will help prevent the “tunnelling” effect and is especially important during your first burn.
Cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.
Always place your candle and burn on a level fire resistant surface
Keep your candle free from any foreign
material, especially wick trimmings and matches.
When lighting your candle, use long matches. Keep hair and loos clothing away from the flame.
Avoid burning your candle near drafts, vents or air currents. This well help prevent rapid or uneven burning.
To prevent fire and serious injury, always burn your candle within sight. Avoid draughts, vibrations and keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn your candle on non-heat resistant surfaces or near any materials that can catch fire.
We advise using a candle snuffer to extinguish your candle. This will prevent your wicks from drifting off centre, thus maximising your candle burn time.
Blowing out your candle is NOT recommended as the liquid wax may splatter and your wick may continue to burn and omit small amounts of smoke.
Once your candle has extinguished, allow the wax to solidify and then follow the candle storage advice below.
Before lighting your candle, always trim your wick to 5mm with a pair of Wick Trimmers. This helps to stop any build of black soot on your wick, thus creating future uneven burns and additional smoke. By trimming your wick evenly, it allows for the cleanest and even burn possible of your candle.
Candles are sensitive to light and temperature. You can avoid your candles from cracking and melting by storing your candles in an upright position in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
